Making Virtual Therapy Effective


Joining therapy sessions virtually? These tips will increase your ability to connect and gain from your sessions.


Sit in a private location with good internet - room, car, closet, bathroom.


Use headphones with a microphone to help with focus and privacy.


Consider hanging a “do not disturb” sign on the door to avoid interruptions.


Set up with your therapist a stop signal incase you are interrupted by someone.


If a parent concerned with children interrupting the session, set the children up with an activity or movie before the session.


Discuss concerns of using tele-health with your therapist to plan ways to address issues.
